Na ja, das mit dem Hintergrund müssen wir noch überlegen. Dein Vorschlag ist aber richtig gut. Also kleines unscharfes wiederholtes Bildchen.

Buttons, klar - in PNG. Ich habe an sowas gedacht:
   

Diese habe ich selber gemacht!

Ausser Play und Pause brauchen wir noch Icons für:
Musik, Video, WWW, Explorer, Exit, Back u.s.w

P.S. und so sieht es in der Praxis aus:
